As a crucial member of the leadership team, the Senior Project Manager will have dual responsibilities: directly managing and mentoring 3-4 Project Managers, providing guidance on project strategy and execution, and also taking a lead role in the planning, execution, and completion of select complex commercial construction projects within the Cleveland and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly manage and mentor a team of 3-4 Project Managers, providing guidance, support, and fostering their professional development within the Cleveland team.
• Oversee the performance and project portfolios of direct reports, ensuring adherence to company standards and project goals in the Cleveland market.
• Serve as a senior-level leader and point of escalation for project-related issues managed by their team.
• Take a lead role in the comprehensive management of select complex commercial addition, interior renovation, and similar projects from pre-construction through closeout within the Cleveland area.
• Develop and implement effective project management plans, schedules, and budgets tailored to the specific needs of each project in the local market.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, stringent quality standards, and precise project budgets for all Cleveland-area projects, both those directly managed and those overseen.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders within the Cleveland construction industry, ensuring exceptional communication and client satisfaction.
• Proactively identify and resolve intricate project challenges through strategic thinking and decisive action on all Cleveland-based projects, both individually and in support of their team.
• Drive project efficiency and enhance communication through the effective utilization of technology and progressive construction management tools for all projects within the Cleveland region.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in Construction Project Management within the Cleveland or Northeast Ohio area, demonstrating a consistent track record of successfully managing complex commercial addition and interior renovation projects.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring project teams, including direct supervision of Project Managers and a strong understanding of leadership principles within the Cleveland construction market.
• Possesses a trailblazer character index, demonstrating a proactive, go-getter attitude, high motivation, and a drive for excellence in both project execution and team leadership within the Cleveland business environment.
• Highly professional demeanor with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities, with a focus on building strong local relationships and effectively leading a team.

• Deep understanding of all facets of the construction process, including pre-construction planning, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration, with a specific focus on commercial additions and interiors within the Cleveland market.
• PMP or LEED certifications are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in relevant construction management software and technologies.

Working Conditions:

This position will involve a blend of office and field work, with an estimated split of approximately 70% of the time spent in the Cleveland-area office for team management, project planning, and administrative tasks, and roughly 30% of the time dedicated to onsite visits at various project locations throughout the Cleveland region for progress monitoring, quality checks, and team support. Flexibility to adjust this ratio based on project needs and team requirements will be necessary. The ability to navigate and work effectively within active construction environments during onsite visits is required.
