Senior Estimator - Heavy Civil, Bridges, Roads

Job Description:

Our client, a construction management and general contracting firm, is currently in need of a Senior Construction Estimator for full-time employment. Our client sets the bar high for their projects and their employees and is their passion.

The Estimator will be responsible for calculating full-scale estimates, statistical data sets, material, equipment, and labor costs for heavy civil engineering, bridges, and roads. Researching historical data and compiling summary reports for guidelines and procedures for full and accurate estimates. They will also be responsible for project updates, bid estimates, maintaining working documents to backup estimates and assist in conceptual estimates.

Requirements:

Required Skills

• 5+ years experience in heavy civil, bridges, and road construction estimating
  • Must have experience specifically in the NYC metro area
  • Must have mid-size GC Construction experience
• Must have excellent work experience, tenure with past employers is considered
• Certifications Desired: CMAA, CCE/A, Commercial Construction Estimator, Construction Management Fundamentals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have a bachelors in civil engineering, or construction management or related field.
