Key Responsibilities:

This role encompasses several key areas of responsibility.

• Estimating & Scheduling: performing accurate take-offs, developing detailed cost estimates, and preparing construction schedules.
• Project Planning & Execution: strong conceptual and problem-solving skills to understand project requirements, participate in value engineering, and identify and address potential challenges.
• Business Development: ability to cultivate new business opportunities through industry networking, build strong client relationships, and actively pursue new leads.
• Contract & Proposal Management: collaborating with the team to prepare and submit winning proposals and contracts that accurately reflect project scope and client needs.
• Project Coordination & Administration: attending site meetings, coordinating with project managers, managing permitting processes, and ensuring safety compliance.

Requirements:

Required Skills

• Proven Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Estimator with a strong foundation in ground-down construction projects including Earthworks.
• Industry Connections: A well-established network within the civil engineering construction industry is essential.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel locally within the Greater Cincinnati and Tristate Area.
• Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with clients, subcontractors, team members, and executives.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Science, or Civil Engineering is mandatory.

Preferred Skills

• Safety Certification: OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software is preferred.
